Certification Description
Transformational leadership development requires a holistic approach to cultivating a leader’s ability to effect change at a systemic level. Our “nature-based framework for transformation” is a holistic approach to social change, advocating for a world structured and functioning in alignment with nature's laws and systems. We believe that sustaining the planet requires nurturing human interactions that are relational, restorative, generative, and holistic. Without whole and healthy human relationships, global sustainability efforts will fail, leading to increased suffering for all organisms.
This training program will enhance a leader’s capacity to address the challenges of conflict, political division, and violent tactics by incorporating innovative and radical approaches to communication strategy, interpersonal healing, leadership development, and community-based restorative practices. This training program is holistic, trauma and oppression-informed, and emergent in its pedagogy.
Conceptually, the topics of identity, relationship to nature, human migration and political histories, traditional healing arts and cosmologies, ecological knowledge, coaching skills, and leadership development tools prepare practitioners with the structure to apply nature-based solutions.
Embodiment of the teachings happens through practice. Live online classrooms and experiential education structures allow participants to apply concepts to real-life situations. Practice between their cohort peers becomes transferable immediately into communities in which they interact daily.
